New Graduates!

Posted by Bryan Rossi on October 18th, 2006

Wednesday evening, October 18, the HSRA community celebrates the graduation of Antonio Bryant and Paul Patton. Staff and students are proud of Antonio’s and Paul’s accomplishments as they move on with their plans for the future. Antonio played a key role in HSRA’s Stay in School (OHE) presentations to 18 middle schools last year and appears on the My Education CD and website. Paul became certified as an audio engineer while at HSRA, appears on the HSRA Student Compilation CD and has plans for other projects.

All graduates are encouraged to pursue post secondary education. Antonio plans to attend MCTC to pursue studies in Human Services and come back to HSRA to volunteer in Another Level Records (ALR) activities. Paul intends to work before attending college and plans to be active in his community.

Please join us in our celebration of Antonio and Paul as they commence their new lives as High School for Recording Arts graduates and alumni.

Field Trip to Dorothy Day Center

Posted by Saintanne Benmira on October 6th, 2006

HSRA Gospel Choir along with their Directors, Kelli and Hans, took their first field trip of the year to sing at the Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul. The center provides meals for the hungry and homeless, and the choir will be singing during their lunch hour. This hopefully is the first of many trips that the choir will be doing this year within the community, bringing joy to many people through the art of singing.
