Institute of Project-based Learning in Japan visits HSRA

HSRA was proud to welcome Andrea Martin (EdVisions) and Uesugi Kenshi (Institute of Project-based Learning in Japan) and their group who visited our school on Monday, September 24. They interviewed staff and students and, in turn, were interviewed by students for the school newspaper. We all had a great time looking at student work and talking about innovations in education.

Minnesota has been a breeding ground for phenomenal musicians. From the relatively unknown to international superstars, the Land of 10,000 Lakes is also the Land of 10,000 great musical acts! The new Minnesota Music Festival showcases Minnesota’s talent with continuous live music on two stages; a selection of Minnesota artisans; food from great Minnesota restaurants; and fun exhibitor booths. Held on beautiful Harriet Island, this two day-event will celebrate all that we love about Minnesota: Great music and art, fabulous food and beautiful fall colors. When: Friday, September 21, 5pm – 10pm Doors open at 4:30 pm Saturday September 22, Noon – 10pm Doorsopen at 11:30 am Where: Harriet Island, St Paul Minnesota Come and see HSRA and Another Level Record’s own “Da 4? band light up the stage Saturday evening when they perform and open for both Brother Ali and Mint Condition. Everyone at The Fo is appreciative to McNally Smith College of Music and Nicole Culverson for this great opportunity to showcase the talent at The Fo. Kevin is well known in the Hip-Hop community. He an author, journalist, activist, and hopefully soon a United States Representative. He has written for magazines including, Vibe, Rolling Stone and Ebony. He has also the author of seven books including Someday We’ll All Be Free and Who’s Gonna Take The Weight? Manhood, Race and Power in America. He is currently running for The Untied States Congress as a U.S. Representative of the state of New York. First Graduation of the Year

  Congratulations to Nathaniel Griffin Jr. on his completion of high school and receiving his high school diploma. Friends and family joined him in celebrating this personal milestone at a celebration and dinner held at HSRA on Thursday, September 13, 2007. He is still exploring post-secondary education plans.
